Ship Claming Info For Beginners. Its a simple method.Ship claiming information for beginners.
Ok now I know most of this information, if not all is already out there but I thought I would put it into a simple guide for beginners.
Types of claims:
Ok so there are two different types of claims. There is the empty box method and the non arrival method. Also if you are more experienced you can use a biohazard Example: item has semen on it.
Empty box method:
To keep things simple this is essentially just contacting the company you brought your' item from and asking why they sent you a empty box. They will do an investigation to find out where the item is. When they cant find it they will either ship you out a replacement or issue a refund depending on what you are asking for. This method is to be used if you sign for your package.
Non arrival method:
This is essentially saying the package never came and asking where it is and again they will do an investigation to find out where the item is. When they cant find it they will either ship you out a replacement or issue a refund depending on what you are asking for. This is the preferred method if you did not sign for the package.
Biohazard method:
The biohazard method is just essentially saying that there is a human or animal substance on the item rendering it useless and inappropriate to post back. This requires a good story to go with it. they my ask you to ship the item back but say it was to disgusting and you were afraid it could be potentially harmful.
Mislead theories:
Items that come saying that once this seal is broken that they will not issue a refund. this means that they will not just refund you because you no longer want it.... if you are saying the box is empty or it never came then THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR CLAIM.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
items that are marked with there weight apon posting cannot use the empty box method. WRONG they may have had someone in there warehouse steal the item or even the delivery guy so this method does still work.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
size does not matter Up to a certain point this is true. But how large depends on the company. from amazon you can claim a 32 inch tv but from other sites you cannot. each site is different so do your research.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
any thing under $1000 amazon will refund in chat with no investigation. now I have seen a lot of people say this but at the end of the day it is down to the rep you talk to. I recently claimed a xb1 aw edition with the 1tb hard drive for $650 and they still did an investigation.
Double/triple dipping:
Double dipping is where you claim from a company then claim again on the same purchase.
Example: order a ps4 from amazon. use the Empty box method and ask for a replacement not a refund! then when the replacement comes use the Non arrival method and ask where it is and ask for a refund
Triple dipping is the same as double dipping essentially except an extra claim (warning this may get you black listed from the site and also from the courier...)
Example: order a ps4 from amazon. use the Empty box method and ask for a replacement not a refund! then when the replacement comes use the Non arrival method and ask where it is and ask for a replacement again! then when the new one say that it is ruined due to a biohazard and you want a refund.
